Dubai Safari Opening Soon!

The wait is finally over! Dubai Municipality has announced that Dubai Safari Park will open to the public on Tuesday, December 12.

Khaled Al Suwaidi, director of leisure facilities department, said the working hours of the safari will be from 9am to 5pm.

In its soft opening, visitors will come face to face with over 2,500 animals from 250 species all over the world.

The Dh1 billion project will provide visitors and residents a close encounter with animals in an open exhibit through four villages - African, Asian, Arabian and Open Safari Village, besides a Children's Farm for just Dh30 for children and Dh85 for adults.

Visitors who choose to visit the villages, without heading to the Open Safari Village, will pay Dh20 for children and Dh50 for adults. Children under three, elderly above 60 and people of determination are exempted from entry ticket charges.

Al Suwaidi previously told News agency the safari, located in Al Warqa-5, aims to be home to 5,000 animals by 2020, preparing its facilities to accommodate over 10,000 visitors a day. More animals will be brought in over the years to continue providing visitors with a new and fresh experience.

Dubai Safari Park, which depends on solar power for its energy needs, is an eco-friendly projects implemented by the Municipality and will be a landmark entertainment in the Emirate of Dubai sprawling over 119 hectares.
