Arabian Ranches Golf Club formerly known as The Desert Course, Dubai, was opened for play in February, 2004, with the Clubhouse opening in May, 2005. The 18 hole desert style course, the first of its kind in the region, with no water hazards or defined bunkers - but plenty of sand, is styled as an Ian Baker-Finch Signature Golf Course in association with Nicklaus Design.

It can be stretched to a challenging 7,691 yards par 72 layout from the Championship Tees but more typically is played at a more friendly tee of the day yardage at 6,531 yards.

The Club, officially inaugurated in December, 2005, by the 1991 Open Champion Baker-Finch also boasts food and beverage outlets as well as 11 Guest Rooms.

The website encourages bookings for golf and guest rooms - both international and local - as well as provides tournament calendars and master handicap lists as well as on line entry forms for events, that are primarily open to both members and non-members. The Desert Miracle

That was the name given to the Emirates Golf Club, Dubai when it became the first all-grass championship golf course in the gulf region, way back in 1988.

And so it remains to this day, even though many have followed in its footsteps. His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum's brainchild still inspires awe amongst all who play its verdant green golf courses, as well as those who simply visit its unique and ageless clubhouse.

The ageless design of clubhouse reflects a Bedouin tented village with seven gleaming white concrete and glass structures, complemented by the natural look of the off-course areas of the golf course, where desert flora and fauna have flourished and established themselves over the years.

The traditions of Arabia are not restricted to the design of the clubhouse. The oldest tradition of all - Arabian hospitality - is the foundation upon which the successful development and reputation of Emirates Golf Club has been built. For members and visitors alike, a welcome unmatched anywhere in the world, is guaranteed
